“For only being 20 years old, Clint was my first child.  He was the reason I woke up in the morning (and for a few days – three times in the middle of the night).

My mom decided to start volunteering for her work one day and we came across Guiding Eyes for the Blind. My family has always had dogs so the web site drew us in and I applied.

I wanted to raise a puppy for two reasons: one because I love animals – dogs especially – and two because I love people.

Nothing would make me happier than to see Clint graduate and change someone’s life because he has already changed mine.

Clint taught me how to love differently then I ever had to.  He taught me patience, and made me laugh.  He taught me that it’s hard to let something go that you love, but it’s easier to do it when it’s for all the right reasons.

I love what Guiding Eyes does for dogs and people.  It teaches love, hope & freedom.”

Update: Clint graduated in December, 2010.  He now lives in Florida with blind handler Thomas Connelly.
